I liked "Johnny Mnemonic." The movie made from the story, with Gibson as the screenwriter, was horrible, but the original story was pretty good.

Gibson doesn't explain much of the backgound of the story. The reader has to must piece together the social context from sometimes-fragmented clues in the action. It's not an easy story to follow and it's not space opera, so many people looking for Buck Rogers clones will be disappointed.

Thanks Michael.

Thing that seems to put me off Gibson is ghetto settings & too much jargon. I read fiction for fun, & I don't find ghetto settings fun. And jargon just distracts from the story.
