A picture of the greying of sf

Niall at Torque Control provides this revealing picture of the trend of greying sf - percentage of Hugo winners per decade in their 20s, 30s, etc.

I realize you weren't actually the one who coined that description, but isn't it a little inaccurate to call this the "graying of SF"?

At most it would be the graying of SF literature. And even that is presumptive.

The graying of Hugo voters maybe?

Eoghann: While I didn't mean to be sensational, the fact that title caught your attention proves it wasn't a bad choice!

I'm aware of the nuances - a lot of posts have been written on the subject. Still, Hugo Awards generate a lot of publicity & do reflect an important segment of both sf literature & fandom.
