Real science: A Gene Map of Europe!

This map is from an article titled A Gene Map of Europe by Duncan Graham-Rowe in MIT Technology Review"can use genomic analysis to pinpoint a person's geographical origins to within just a few hundred kilometers."

I'm note sure of any larger implications. But I'd not seen such a map before.
