Shauna Roberts' "The Hunt" (novelette, detective, free)

Nothing original about it, but a good "timepass" read - no boring moments.

Story summary.

A slummy town is visited by a large vehicle. From vehicle are stolen valuable goods. A private detective agency is hired to track down the thief. Cornered thief gets rid of the valuables by paying a fee!

Mixed up with the fun are a bunch of teenagers playing a game that has been terrorizing the town.

Eventually, all ends well - except for thief.
