Owen Godfrey's "Really Nothing" (flash fiction, philosophy, free)
Some bumbling on the nature of "nothing". But readable.
In early 1990s, there was a very popular TV serial in India - "Mahabharat", based on the epic of the same name. It's opening music included passages from some ancient Sanskrit text - a discourse on the nature of "shoonya" - literally, the concept of zero or nothing. This story sounded similar in content, though perhaps less colorful, & stated in modern language.
Fact sheet.
