No post today, & posts will be erratic for a fortnight

Am caught up with something & won't be free till late night.

Today also marks the beginning of a 10 day Hindu religious festival - culminating in something called Dashehra on 9 October. While the first 9 of these days ("Navratri") are time for fast in large parts of the country, in Bombay all 10 days are a time to dance the evening away!

Thousands of temporary open air dance floors get erected across the city - there is one right outside my building. Even if I want to work, super-loud music won't let me. And anyway, it's more fun to join the dance than to type at keyboard!

I will sometimes be posting during this period, but days missed will be many & unannounced.
