T Coraghessan Boyle's "A Death in Kitchawank" (novelette, non-genre, free)

Illustration accompanying the short story A Death in Kitchawank by T Coraghessan Boyle at The New YorkerA nostalgic look at life of a woman - happy days while kids were small & neighborhood familiar, & slow progression towards old age with yearning for what was & won't be anymore. Sad ending, but generally a good read.

Terribly slow paced and not enticing enough to create suspence, overall a very very boring read.

I didn't think it was about suspense.

I found it giving only the impression of slow pace, without actually being slow. But, of course, personal taste is involved in what one considers boring - so may be you're as right as I am:(
