Fredric Brown's "Pi in the Sky" (novelette, humor)

Very funny ending, of an apparently serious story told with a straight face.

Astronomers the worlds over suddenly start observing extremely unusual motions of far away stars. Physics seems to be up for some serious revision. And then, a few days later, they as suddenly stop moving, basically relocating to new positions, relative earth, that serve a grand end...
