Stories from "Nature" magazine, June 2012 issues

Four stories, all flash fiction length, all online. The only one I found read-worthy is Lucht's. List below is in order of my preference, best first.
  1. 7 June: Michael W Lucht's "After experiment seven" (B); download; humor: What is the probability of succeeding should you try committing suicide?
  2. 21 June: Adrian Tchaikovsky's "21st-century girl" (B); download: When a girl from another time is thrown into our, via genetic trickery... or is she really out of her time?
  3. 28 June: Ken Liu's "Celestial bodies" (B); download: Earth's love affair with Saturn. Poetic but not always careful with words. And not really my kind of story.
  4. 14 June: Robert Nathan Correll's "Squealer" (C); download: In a post-apocalypse world where most information is lost but electronic gadgets & electricity are unaffected, a man is making out a living as a government's propaganda agent, rewriting old texts & passing on the new ones as original.
