"AntipodeanSF", April 2011 (magazine, free): Annotated table of contents & review

10 pieces of flash fiction. I've only read the 4 labeled science fiction. Nothing really outstanding, but first two are at least readable. My rating is in brackets.
  1. Gregor Macnamara's "What Was That?" (B); download: Someone at a freight yard has discovered a mysterious container, unaccounted for in any records - one that periodically makes a noise...
  2. Marcelo Rinesi's "Love Is Not A Modal Logic" (B); download: The future of spam...


    Related: Kurt Vonnegut, Jr's "Confido" is a far more interesting story based on a similar idea. Another interesting variation of this theme occurs in Eric Frank Russell's "Postscript" (download).
  3. Michael McDonald's "Galactonecronomicon" (C); download: Grave robber on an alien world meets Cthulhu!
  4. Jeanie Laherty's "The Problem" (C); download: A chip implant for hardened criminals that is supposed to fix their behavior & make them fit for normal society. If only things were this simple...
