Fredric Brown's "The Waveries" (short story, alien invasion, free)

I'd read it long ago, in one of the "Isaac Asimov Presents Great SF Stories" books (I think), but found the online copy only recently.

It's supposed to be one of the better known stories of Brown. A light-hearted "apocalypse" where it has suddenly become impossible to use electricity in any kind of application!
