Mike Resnick's "Harboring Pearls" (short story, non-genre, humor, free)
This appears to be the first in a new series featuring the conman priest Lucifer Jones. This story is set in Hawaii in 1939; series, I suppose, will be in the Pacific set over next 3 or 4 years.
Story summary.
To save the Pearl Museum in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, from robbers, Lucifer Jones robs it for himself! As usual, there is someone smarter than himself around...Collected in.

Actually, it's the second in the set of stories that will eventually be collected as VOYAGES, the 5th Lucifer Jones book. The first, "Heads and Tails in Paradise", takes place on Easter Island, and is in the previous issue of Subterranean, which is free.
